Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a tincture and an oil remedy?

The liquid tinctures are made from BACH® ORIGINAL FLOWER REMEDIES and they are a homeopathic dilution created by Dr. Edward Bach, a world-renowned Physician, and Homeopath.

BACH® ORIGINAL FLOWER REMEDIES* are 38 remedies derived from flowers and plants to help you rediscover your inner sense of peace and restore emotional wellbeing in your everyday life. They are taken orally and come in a 1 oz bottle.

The oil blends and tinctures complement each other and work on different levels of the psyche.  Together or separate, they are a powerful support to our well being.

How fast will the remedies take to work?

Some people notice a difference immediately.  Sometimes it can take 2-3 days. Results built on themselves so continue using them to bring relief to long-standing issues.

Sometimes one bottle will work wonders and other times a second is needed.  Since life affects us through many layers, we find it helps to switch the blends to refine the solutions as you progress.

Why is my oil cloudy?

Occasionally water is leftover from the bottle's sanitization process.  We make every effort to ensure this doesn't happen. However, it will not affect the quality of your oil.

Can I take this with my regular medicine?

Taking the BACH® Remedies are safe, with no known side effects.

However, it is always recommended that you consult with your health care professional prior to introducing anything new into your daily regimen.

Why is there alcohol in the tinctures?

Throughout history, alcohol has been used in remedies and medications for its preservative properties. When creating his own remedies and remedy blends, Dr. Bach used alcohol, namely brandy, to improve the remedy’s longevity. Prior to Dr. Bach’s time, pharmacists would prepare their tinctures using rectified spirits, or pure alcohol.

Because the remedies are water-based, they need to be preserved to ensure they do not get stagnant or become contaminated. Alcohol is added to protect against microbial contamination, a common preservative used in many water-based remedies and formulas.
